FAQ's
What areas of the UK do
you cover?
We cover most of the
UK between four regional offices.
How many years have you been doing this?
The concept of a
residential service is quite new to the UK and we have been doing this
in the UK since 2005. We have however 9 years of experience in the
Christmas decorating business which started in the US.
I have a large home with
lot of land, what can you do?
An outdoor
installation can consist of the following; We can follow the contours of
the roof and gables with large bulb lights, use icicle lights on the
gutters, place small lights or a lit garland around large windows, use
wreaths on all gable ends and doors, place lit potted spruce or fir
trees on either side of the front door, illuminate driveways and paths
with stake lights, light shrubs and bushes and illuminate larger trees
either by wrapping each branch with lights or using rope-light motifs
and other exclusive products. Inside a home we can dress large doorways,
banister and fireplaces with hand crafted garlands and wreaths. Potted
and vase displays can enhance stairways tables and window ledges. We can
dress a dining table, install a real or artificial tree to suit the size
of the room, specifically decorated according to a particular theme or
colour.
How soon should I call
to organise a decorating job?
As soon as you know
you’d like to use our services you should contact us. The installation
period is only 8 weeks long and we naturally have a limit on the amount
of customers we can accept. During early November we mainly install
commercial clients with residential homes starting at the end of
November and running right through to 23rd December. The sooner you call
the more choice of install date you will have.
What is the difference
between your products and the ones bought in shops?
Our lights are of a
commercial standard and of the highest possible quality. Lots of our
décor is hand crafted by ourselves and we use unique handmade products
from workshops in Europe. Most of our suppliers make products
exclusively for us and you wont even find them in luxury department
stores.
So, I’ve had a look
around this site, like the idea of it, what next?
Give us a call to
discuss any questions or concerns you may have. We will arrange a no
obligation visit to the premises to be decorated. Alternatively you can
send us a digital photogrpah by email if you are looking to have the
exterior of a building lit. We’ll put forward suggestions and ideas and
you can also let us know what your preferences are or any ideas you may
have come up with. We have a vast portfolio of pictures and ideas. Once
we've agreed on the decor and lighting we’ll put you in our diary for an
installation and takedown date that suits.
I haven’t got a digital
camera or any time to discuss it, but want it doing?
You can give us free
reign. Let us know your budget and we’ll go to work on it for you. We're
also accustomed to working with agents and personal assistants, so have
them drop us a line.
Who uses a services like
this?
Commercially, our
biggest customers are hotels, restaurants and other public buildings
that are often very busy at Christmas and want to impress their
customers. We can decorate any premises and can offer a beautiful theme
for any building right from a football stadium or race course to a small
office or retail shop - and of course everything in between.
Our typical residential customer is someone who values their private
time with friends and family, who doesn’t want to deal with the hassle
of decorating but wants a beautiful looking home for the festive period.
Our customers are typically owners of larger homes or estates. Our
service appeals to higher income households of business people and
sport, TV, music and big screen celebrities.
I’m private about my
home and affairs and not keen on having strangers in my home?
We offer a
confidentiality agreement with every home owner. We are there to do a
job and don’t even need to know who the home belongs to if you prefer.
We are very discreet and respectful which is what's earned us such a
high end client list. All members of staff are there to create a job
that delights the homeowner when they see it. To ensure as little
interruption as possible we typically put a team on every install so
that it can be completed in as short a time as possible. Even the
largest of installs are normally completed in two days at the most. We
are more then happy to liaise with agents, personal assistants and
caretakers.
Will you install lights
that already I own?
Unfortunately not.
We cannot guarantee their quality or be responsible for them working
through the duration of their installation.
What happens if our
lights go our after they are installed?
It is highly
unlikely that this will happen but by their very nature light bulbs can
fail. Our lights are designed so that if one bulb goes out the rest will
not be effected. If a large section go out due to product failure then
we will call out to rectify them.
How do the lights turn
on and
off?
All lights are
fitted with daylight sensors or timers so that they will light up to
suit you. We will do this at installation.
Will I need any
electrical work carried out on my home before an installation?
This depends. If
your home has external power then probably not. We can lead extensions
from the inside through an open window or under a garage door. If you
choose to or if it is unavoidably necessary we can install external
power. This is done by our qualified and insured electricians.
Do we have to be home
for the installation?
Not at all. We can
work hand in hand with your caretaker or property management company so
that you can arrive home after an installation is complete and
everything is ready for you.
Can we decide when we
want everything taking down?
At the time of your
install consultation we will discuss your preferences for when you want
everything taking down and storing.
Is there an extra charge
for storing?
No its all included
in the price. |
